Taskrabbit Unveils 2024 Top “Core” Aesthetic Home Trends

New Report and Data Showcase How Social Media is Influencing Consumer Home Design

SAN FRANCISCO, October 17, 2024 – Taskrabbit, the platform connecting people to skilled, reliable Taskers from their local communities, announced today its 2024 Top “Core” Aesthetic Trend Report, highlighting how consumers are leaving mainstream design trends behind and finding unique ways to personalize their homes with niche ‘core’ aesthetics.

Taskrabbit’s latest report spotlights trends popularized across social media, where the ‘core’ suffix has taken off and turned one-off trends into distinct aesthetics. After evaluating jobs booked on the platform over the last 12 months, the brand identified seven ‘core’ aesthetics trending in homes across the United States. The overarching theme for 2024 is all about curating a specific mood and aesthetic. Notably, the use of the word ‘aesthetic’ in task descriptions saw a 56% year-over-year increase.

To help consumers discover which ‘core’ aesthetic best aligns their unique personality and style preferences, Taskrabbit partnered with content creators to launch an interactive quiz. This quiz not only matches users with their ideal aesthetic but also offers inspiration on how to bring these styles to life, drawing from the vibrant examples showcased in the creators’ social media feeds.
